My favorite thing right now is non-fiction books! It's not that fiction is boring, but non-fiction is so full of interesting facts about everything and the kids are just sponges right now!
A group of kids starts by just picking up trash and the activities just keep coming to make the world a more beautiful place!
A fun rhyming book the kids will really enjoy! It's Earth Day, not your birthday! Hehehe!
I love this book! It's great for introducing the 3 R's! These concepts can be challenging for kinders but this book can really help!
I also like so show videos in class. I find that there is so much out there that is animated that why not use it in class! SO here are some resources you can quickly show to your students about Earth Day!
This one is probably my favorite! 8 Principles for a better world! Now that's Earth Day!
Betsy's Kindergarten Adventures - Where does all the garbage go?
I am the Earth! Fun little song!
Mother Earth - A fun catchy song! Lots of pictures as well!
And last is a freebie! Just a quick page the kids can do when reflecting on Earth Day. Also a more fun idea with it below!
This is adapted from the previous Earth Day activity I did which is below. To be honest with you, I always did these fun earths because I always had those silly sticker face pieces left over from the helium tank from my own kinder's birthday party. So what better way to use them than to make these fun earths. So I also provided you with the face pieces so that you can make them into fun people if you wish. =)
One more freebie. Spring Snap Cubes! Make the Earth out of blocks and count/record how you made it! Fun, fun, fun!
Hopefully something you can use!
