Oh the Places You’ll Go is a fun book to read with your students during author studies or to talk about the future! It also is a great book to make a fun bulletin board for and so we have a free balloon template for you to match.

We then gave each child a balloon (template to follow) and let them paint them. Students can easily color them with crayons or markers as well. This was a preschool class so we cut them out for the kids but if your students can cut, let them do that too. To attach to our wall, we taped them because our door is metal. We added some creases in the string for depth (just used paper).
The rest of the door was literally thrown together. The paper is one white piece from the workroom that does not fit exactly and that’s ok. The words are from some cutouts we had. The hills are color cardstock taped together and cut into the right shapes. Overall assembling the door took about 25-30 minutes tops.
And if you are looking for some easy to implement activities, our Read and Rhyme America unit is the perfect mix of nonsense words, CVC words, numbers to 120, vocabulary, and so much more! There is even a write the room your students will love. Click here to check it out.
