Welcome to Simply Kinder. I am Jennifer. I created Simply Kinder years ago as a creative outlet for my teaching passion!
A few things about me – mostly professional.
I was kicked out of Catholic school in kindergarten. Sorry mom! I have been in 5 districts and worked with 7 different schools/teams. I have had several grants funded over the years including taking a group of under-privileged 4th graders on a 3-day trip! (Not even budget issues do not get in the way of providing experiences for my students!) I have taught several professional development classes over the years including at the National Kindergarten Conference on classroom management. I believe parents need to empower themselves and be well informed about what is happening in our schools! Understanding working with struggling readers has become a passion of mine as I watched my oldest son struggle in school.
The articles on the Simply Kinder site come from myself a team of writers.
