A few months ago I purchased this AMAZING shower curtain from Educents with the alphabet on it! I shared it on my fan page and several people wondered how I would use it in my classroom. You always have to look at things a little creative… throw that shower curtain on the floor and you have one durable sorting surface for the alphabet! It even comes with an idea card on how to use it to learn!

In my classroom I have a giant bucket of stuff… you know those alphabet sound tubs that have 5 or six items for every letter of the alphabet? Well through the years I have merged those into one giant tub (partially because I get tired of fighting the kids about it.) A great center for the kids has been to take that tub and sort them onto the shower curtain! The kids just love it! It can also be used as a different mat for many different alphabet sorting games you may already have! And the best part, it’s a shower curtain, so it’s really durable and cleans off well if need be!
