Whether it’s a Meet the Teacher Night or you are just trying to inform your families what goes on in kindergarten, this Free Back To School Parent Packet will have something in it you will love. And great news – this download is NOW EDITABLE in Adobe Pro. This will allow you to change it to match your curriculum and translate if need be!
Let’s start with some academics. We all want our families to know that kindergarten is not all about sharing and playing and so here is a reading and math list of what most kindergarten classrooms work on today. This list came from the Common Core but it honestly is just common sense what every kindergarten should cover.
And then, of course, a printable to have parents work no some skills before they arrive like knowing your name, knowing their name (LOL), and knowing how to cut and glue.
Next, I like to inform my families a little about who their students will be working with. And so these two pages come in handy so the parents can start working with their students on names. It’s not necessary, just a nice thing to do to so parents are well informed.
I also like to load my parents up with activities to work on until school starts. These flashcards are little to no prep and can be used for games and activities at home. It also sets the precedence right out the door that we learn in kindergarten and we work together to make that happen.
This printable also is extremely helpful for parents of incoming kindergarteners. It teaches parents how to work with their kids to get past some of those common errors with the alphabet.
But, of course, the two most essential pages are these because I want my kids to come in prepared and I want my families to know kindergarten is a big deal!
And great news – this download is NOW EDITABLE in Adobe Pro. This will allow you to change it to match your curriculum and translate if need be!
