Earth Day Videos for Kids

Earth Day is coming soon and so we wanted to give you a teacher approved list of Earth Day Videos for kids.  Several of these videos tie in perfectly with all of the Spring themed lessons we are all teaching, life cycles, insects, and flowers. The vocabulary is easy to understand and the presentation is engaging and appropriate for our early learners!

Peppa Pig Recycling  (5:10)

In this video Peppa and George learn that some “rubbish” can be recycled. They recycle cans, newspapers, and bottles from their morning breakfast and then take them to the recycling center near their home.

Betsy’s Kindergarten Adventures: Happy Earth Day by Janson Media (13:07)

Betsy is a Kindergartener that is curious about trash. She learns all about Earth Day at school.   This video discusses why we celebrate Earth Day, how it originated and how we can help keep our Earth clean…even at that the young age of 5.Learn about the Earth and Earth Day with these two easy to read books from Simply Kinder. If You’re a Kid…(Earth Day Remix) by Harry Kindergarten Music (2:36)

Another great song that provides specific examples of ways to reduce, reuse, and recycle items we use every day to keep our Earth clean.

Recycling Song The Three R’s by Jack Hartmann (2:39)

The students can follow this recycle song very easily because of the simple words and messages. The song sings about specific materials to recycle – paper, cardboard, glass, plastic bottles, aluminum cans, newspapers and magazines.

Earth is Our Home by Mother Goose Club (3:00)

This song discusses all of the beautiful things and habitats that are apart of our Earth. This song would be a great song to discuss inferencing. This song offers a lot of clues as to why we should take good care of our “home” but it does not actually state it in the song.Use this Free Earth Day Hat with your preschool, kindergarten, and first grade students to celebrate the Earth. This short video teaches the importance of recycling. It includes a song that will help your students why it is importance we recycle and the basic process of recycling.

The Earth Song by Nick Kello (4:59)

This songs lyrics teaches about keeping the earth clean so we can all live our lives to the fullest. The song is accompanied by breathtaking, real life pictures from all over the world. I think this video would be good for a calming brain break and/or at the end of a day filled with Earth Day lessons.

Going Green Song Reduce, Reuse, Recycle – Have Fun Teaching (3:07)

This  fun song teaches different ways to Reduce, Reuse and Recycle. It teaches kids about the different ways to make our planet better and different ways to Go Green everyday.

We’re Going Green by Harry Kindergarten (2:39)

This video is LOADED with ways to make better choices for the planet.  This is a great video for talking about recycling, reusing, and conserving!

Earth Day Recycling Song Lyrics for Preschool by Kiboomers (1:17)

I just love these videos because the lyrics are slower and simple so you can easily turn them into a poem your students can recite.  This one is great for recycling and talking about the processes of how kids do it!Earth Day Videos for Kids
