Monster Needs Your Vote by Paul Czajak – This book shows a great example of standing up for what is right. Paul Czajak uses monsters to explain some of the hard to understand parts of the presidential election process. It is fun and educational, your kids will be begging you to read this one over and over again.  Click here to check it out.

Vote for Me and other great books for teaching preschool, kindergarten, and first grade students about elections.

Vote for Me by Ben Clanton – If your students are showing signs that they have caught on to the presidential “debate” and are using phrases that could have only come from their parents (or another adult) mouths, then this book is for you. This book uses a donkey and elephant (lol) to illustrate that presidential candidates will do just about anything to win the election, but in the end, is that even enough? It is comical and helps explain what is going on during the presidential debates.  Click here to check it out.

Let's Vote on It and other great books for teaching preschool, kindergarten, and first grade students about elections.

Let’s Vote On It by Janice Behrens – Now this book belongs in every classroom from Preschool to Grade 2. In this book, students vote on something not as serious as who will be the next President of the United States of America. They have to decide something just as important though, who will be their class pet? A goldfish or a hermit crab?  Click here to check it out.

This book is a great introduction to your very own class election. In our Class Election Activities pack, you can pick from many different mock class elections.  Or if you want to make your own, you can get the Editable Class Elections where you can insert your own words and pictures.
