This free printable letter matching game is always a hit at the beginning of the school year. Anytime the kids get to play a game but are secretly learning is a win for me! This game will help the students match their uppercase and lower case letters.
THIS ACTIVITY GOES WELL WITH:
The game is very easy to play, and for those students that are starting to work on letter recognition, this is going to be perfect
You can use this as a center or a quiet early finisher game. Simply print them on card stock, cut them out and laminate for durability. They would fit perfectly inside a 4 X6 photo box for easy storage as well.
You can have the students match the uppercase letters to the lowercase letters. If your student is in the beginning stages of learning her letters, limit the selections to less than 5 letters at a time and increase as their knowledge increases.
You can also use these cards to work on alphabetical order. Have your student put all the letters in order. Or take a select few at a time. You could even take a few away and have them figure out what letters are missing.
Do you have any other ideas of how to use the cards in your classroom?
