This is the SECOND QUARTER set of Send Home School/Sub Plans you can send home for students to learn at home.

This set WILL include all 9 weeks for second quarter kindergarten. They are not complete yet but will include all 9 weeks when they are finished.

We will preload in some of the individual activities so that you can interchange them if you need before the full sets are done.

It is editable so you can customize the activities.

We are changing the name from Send Home Sub plans to Send Home School Plans because it is more appropriate for what is going on.

Again, you can use all of our activities or edit and add your own as well as assign one whole week at a time or send individual files.

Questions that have come up:
~ We have book suggestions and tell families they can (1) check the book out from the library, (2) order the book online, (3) look for the book read online, or (4) pick a different book.
~ The PDF is editable. There is no way to make it not editable when sending to families. Families must open the file in Adobe which is free.
~ Because the file is editable, you cannot add hyperlinks but the letter tells the families how to search for things online.
~ Most activities in these lessons are new but some are not. For example, it just seems silly to recreate alphabet crafts when we already have a good set of them. But MOST are new activities. There will be overlap with the preschool plans but the approach is different (for example, they both have nursery rhyme but kinder will have 2 letters a week and preschool one letter a week and just overall literacy and math expectancies will be very different,
~ These plans must be printed at school or at home, they are not digital activities. They are single use sub plans with all activities included.
~ We will be reorganizing our Send Home Sub Plans to be this same format (by quarter). You can now purchase one quarter at a time BUT they will not be complete right away. We will load in some of the individual activities so you can interchange them if you need to. (For example, you may go in a different letter order and this will give you the option to move that around with more letter choices). The price will remain $1.50 week whether you buy a whole quarter or one set at a time. We are keeping that price as low as we can right for all.
~. The Spring sets you purchased will be aligned to this quarterly model. You won’t need to repurchase them but they will be reorganized when we get closer to that time.
This all being said, Simply Kinder has received SO MANY emails from parents and teachers thanking us for helping to keep organized and stay on track. We are just sharing these to save you an email if you have the same questions.
