Weather is a fun topic to teach. Kids love it because they experience it everyday!

Of course they also love learning about the weather extremes like tornadoes, blizzards and hurricanes. The following  videos range in complexity from simple introductions of daily weather conditions to more detailed explanations of severe or extreme weather.

Grover is a meteorologists and has a fun time predicting the weather.

Wind, snow, sun – Elmo describes different types of weather with cute video clips of each.  Elmo also talks about what clothes you wear for different types of weather. This is a great introduction to types of weather for kindergartners.

How’s the Weather Song (1:43)

A super simple song asking, “How’s the weather?” It’s sunny, rainy, windy, snowy – with animations of each. A fun way to work weather into circle time or morning meeting.
