Teacher Supplies on Amazon!

Teacher Supplies I Only Get On Amazon!

Like most teachers, I LOVE Teacher Supplies.  But over the years I have figured out that there are some supplies that I just would rather buy on Amazon!  And with Prime, it’s really a no brainer.  Whether you are back-to-school shopping, shopping for teaching supplies, or just looking for great teaching supplies online, this post will help you!  So here are some items I only get on Amazon because they truly are the best deal!

Mr. Sketch Scented Markers – Love these for anchor charts!  They are so bright and so fun to use!  I don’t let the students use these markers, they are mine only!  (And it’s fun during staff meetings to mix colors.  Orange and yellow smells like Fruit Loops!)

Pocket Charts – If I ever have to buy a pocket chart, I only buy them on Amazon!  Reason is simple, with a quick search I can quickly see what is available and what options I have to fit what I am looking for.  For me, I probably order 1 or 2 new pocket charts ever year.  I have taught for 14 years and I still do this because it seems I am always the one to get moved classrooms or I want to try a new bulletin board idea or a new organizational structure for something in my class. It’s just so much easier to see what they have to order it directly to my home than to go see if one of the ones at my local teacher store will work.  It’s just a me thing.

5160 Avery Labels – I use these for everything!  I use for everything from putting names on my cubbies (so next year I can just put a new label over it) to student games (putting sight words on labels and having the students go around the room and write who has what sight word on their back.  I will literally go through a box of 100 5160 Avery labels every year!

Laminating Pouches – I do have my own personal laminator at home.  I find it’s so much easier to do things on my own time than waiting for the school to laminate my stuff or for a certain day because it is only allowed to be on one day a week.  Doing it at home just makes it so much easier to check one more thing off my list and so it’s worth the small price for me to buy my own pouches for at home.  I also get them a little thicker than the school laminate so the pieces the kids touch last forever!  Each year I go through about 2 boxes of pouches but the time I save is definitely worth it!

Scotch Laminator – If you don’t have an at-home laminator, this one is AMAZING!  So cheap too!!!

Astrobright Cardstock – This is great for centers, posters I print in the room, and projects we do.  I seem to never have enough colorful card stock and you just cannot beat the price and convince of having it shipped directly to you!

Expo Teacher Markers – I like to have my own set of Expo markers that are in every color. I feel like in kindergarten it’s so important for things to be color appropriate and so I do invest in a set of good markers that only I use.  My school only provides me with a limited number of black or blue markers and so unfortunately I have to get a set every year or two.

Color Pens – We are required in my district to color code certain forms – kinder is purple.  But our office never gave us that color pens. I also do color coding with some of my tracking forms and so when I do run out of pens (mostly because I have lost them), these are the ones I order.  The write really nice and are really pretty colors and it just makes working a little more fun!

Power Stapler –  Oh-Em-Goodness!  If you don’t have one of these you need one!  It is one of those effortless staplers that you can literally just push with one finger!  It is so powerful too that it goes through any super thick wall!  One year I worked at a school that the walls were so thick that a traditional stapler would just bend the staples.  But not with this one!

Name Badges – I use the same name badges all year so I want to make sure they are heavy duty and will last!  The Avery heavy-duty name badge mostly don’t let me down!  They are thick and sturdy and can last MOST kindergarteners.  I used just regular name tags I get at the teacher store so they still look amazing and cute.  I will put the students number ID number and last name on the back so when subs are in my classroom they can have all the information right with the child if they need.  (I tape them closed so they last and the kids NEVER take them home.)  You also have to get the clips for this set, but they will last you YEARS!

A Cute Teacher Journal – I like to have a journal that is for staff meetings and grade level meetings. I find that if I take the time to pick out one I really like that I am more apt to not lose it and remember to bring when I need it!  Some years I go silly and fun, other years I go inspirational.
