We were all so wrapped up on Valentines that we may have overlooked that President’s Day was right around the corner. Here’s some resources to make it a little easier for you!
Then this is what we did in kindergarten two weeks ago to study the presidents! Five presidents: George Washington, Abraham Lincoln, Theodore Roosevelt, John F. Kennedy, and Barack Obama. Each president has an information page to read and take notes, several graphic organizers, several writing pages, and a craft! I like to preassemble the book, and use the title pages to glue on the craft so the kids have a comprehensive books of the presidents!
Now for a freebie! This is a fun writing activity I plan on using on Tuesday. The students will draw themselves in as president and write about what they would do if they were the president! I think the kids are going to get a kick out of putting themselves up in the ranks with these influential presidents!
