A fun counting activity for this October is here! Learn how to create a Halloween Counting Activity with these simple materials and a free printable!
Every year I see these fun little containers around Halloween and think… those would make a great Halloween Counting Activity for centers. But I have never really known how to pull it together – how do I assign a number value to each bucket ruining the cute little buckets with my horrible handwriting?

So I created these Counting Mats for Halloween buckets. I know they are a simple square with a number on them, but they will make it easy to just buy some buckets and collect some stuff to count into them and you have a great little math center that is academic and fun.
And there are lots of variations out there for the buckets and lots of different things you can use as counters. Here are some of my favorites.
These counting mats are free in our Teachers Pay Teachers store – click here to go there now. Or download it instantly as a Plus member here! Hopefully, they will help you implement this center a little bit easier! Happy October friends.
