Resource #1. Solar and Lunar Eclipse Resource (More general activities about eclipses)
 
General Eclipse Activities:
  • Eclipse Craft – Use a brad to assemble a paper model of an eclipse.
  • Eclipse Hats – Students will glue the moon onto the year of this fun hat. Students can also use the pattern pieces to decorate their hats! This page is editable so you can change the title and year.
  • Literacy Academic Pages – 6 practice pages including filling in the missing letter, reading CVC words, and writing the entire alphabet.
  • Math Academic Pages – 7 practice pages including fill-in the number activities (to 10 and to 20), number identification (to 10 and 20), graphing to 10, and addition to 5 and 10.
Lunar Eclipse Activities:
  • Easy Reader – a 6-page book with simple sentences and easy-to-follow concepts all about solar eclipses. Read in class and send home. (The book is shown in the video as a portrait but it has been redone to be horizontal).
  • Lunar Eclipse Writing Pages – Great for reflection or collecting facts as you learn! Several writing line options here.
  • Lunar Eclipse Student Expert Award – Give your students this award when they have become an “expert.”
Solar Eclipse Activities:

Resource #3.  Annular Eclipse Resource:
An annular eclipse is when the moon passes in from of the sun and leaves a ring of fire around the sun. This set includes all of the above bullets but for annular eclipses.
 
Resource #4. Partial Solar Eclipse:
This resource includes all of the same as above but for a partial eclipse. All solar eclipses start and end with a partial eclipse so they are the most common type of eclipse. Also – if there is a total or annular eclipse visible, your region may just see a partial.
Resource #5. Eclipse BINGO:
This engaging and educational game is designed to make your learning even more magical while enhancing essential CVC (Consonant-Vowel-Consonant) decoding skills.
 
Resource #6. Eclipse Bulletin Board Project:
Create a fun bulletin board with this fun eclipse project. This comes with several options like printing on construction paper or white to color, cut and glue. There are also several options for the writing part including just coloring a picture to 2nd grade lines.
 
Resource #7. Space & Eclipse Centers (This is Actually 6 Resources):
This is a set of 6 centers (3 literacy, 3 math) that have a space theme (including one eclipse center). Each center gives you a print and play game in color and black and white, an editable center card with an objective, directions, and photo, and several accountability sheet. Students will practice everything from letter writing to blending and counting to addition and subtraction with these set of centers.
 
Resource #8. Editable Name Space People
Easily program your student names into this file so they can assemble them into these fun Space People. Students will color, cut, and glue them together to create a fun project to display or take home. (You can even program words, math problems, or anything else fun you can think of.)
