I love hands-on, thematic centers for my students. They get my students EXCITED about learning and instantly engaged in the material. These Easter Egg Blend Puzzles will be the perfect way for your students to review blends, while having fun.
Easter Egg Blend Puzzles comes with an entire set of twenty puzzles for students. All L blends, R blends, and S blends are covered. Each blend comes with one puzzle.

Getting Easter Egg Blend Puzzles Ready
After printing on cardstock, I recommend laminating so that you can reuse this center for years to come. Next year, you will just get them out of storage and place in the center. How nice will that be?!
I find it easiest to use a paper cutter to cut out each rectangle puzzle piece and then I was scissors to cut the wavy line on each puzzle. After that, you are all ready to go.
Doing Easter Egg Blend Puzzles
First students will lay out all of the puzzle pieces on the floor or desk. A student will choose either a blend card or a picture card. This student chose a blend card.
Next, they will sort through all of the cards to find the picture card that begins with that blend. For example, the blend card that was chosen had the tr blend, therefore, the student looked for the corresponding picture card, a treasure.
Students will place the completed puzzle to the side and continue until all puzzles have been put together.
If using 40 pieces at once is too much for your students, only place half of the puzzles in the center until they are able to master those. As they get the hang of it, add more in until they are doing all of the puzzles provided.
