A great way to get started is to talk about the life cycle of pumpkins. This quick video is a great intro for students! After you watch the video, you can talk more about the life cycle of plants and pumpkins before beginning your project.
The Fun Begins
Students can then color the pictures of all the life cycles. It’s time to practice their scissor skills and cut out all the pumpkin scenes on the dotted lines. You can talk about sequencing and putting things in order to help them figure out which picture to use. Next, your kinders will glue the pictures in order along the hat brim. Finally, it’s time to assemble the hat. Don’t forget to have everyone practice their modeling skills by trying on their hats!
