Have your students actually incubate eggs on their chairs. Color and cut out the eggs. Tape them to their chairs. After a day (or week) a little chick can appear. (Use a Peep for a yummy snack).

Here’s a fun idea for your students in the spring – ACTUALLY Incubating Eggs On Your Chairs!  (It’s a great motivator to encourage students to sit in their chairs too!

Here’s how:

~  Color and cut the eggs (CLICK HERE for the printable above) or use spring scrapbook paper.

~  Tape the egg to the chair.

~  Sit on the egg for a day (or even a week).

~  Leave a little chick on their chair for them (Peeps work great!)

This is a great way to motivate students to stay in their seats; a fun reminder for sure! But remember, this is meant to be a fun activity and not super serious! Celebrate growth and wins! Make it about ACTUALLY incubating eggs and not a behavioral thing. It’s a community effort and every single child in your class should experience the fun! Being positive and letting kids feel success is way more successful of a strategy than taking thing away!

I personally love to eat Peeps, but there is also several other fun ideas for them in your classroom.  We LOVE our Spring Marshmallow Science unit this time of year.  We have Click here to see it now.  Each experiment is easy to follow and follows the same format so you can talk about the science and not the directions.
