Grab this “Parts of a Plant” free printable to supplement your plant life cycle unit! Students love planting and watching their little seeds grow! A perfect spring activity!
This activity goes well with these Simply Kinder resources:
We plant beans and watch them grow, record our findings, and learn all kinds of fun things about plants. You can start the unit off by showing some videos from this great list of teacher-approved plant life cycle videos! Click here to read more about them and watch right from the article! One student favorite is this fun song by Harry Kindergarten!
You can then continue by making an anchor chart with a picture of a plant. We talk about the different parts and how each one is important and has a job to do. We label the parts as we go.
I’ve created two worksheets to share today. In the first option, the kids cut and paste the different parts in the correct spot and then color them. The second option has the kids can write in the answers, or you can even use it for a little quiz or review after going over them together as a group.
