Teddy Bear Picnic Printable Worksheets
Bringing a favorite stuffed friend to school has been an activity my kids look forward to every year. Some days it’s just a movie afternoon with pajamas and popcorn while other times it’s a day of teddy bear picnic themed activities and centers. I was recently helping in my son’s class during their pumpkin centers and it made me think about how fun a simple teddy bear themed science packet would be for kindergarteners. Today I’m sharing a three-page printable S.T.E.A.M. (science, technology, engineering, art, and math) for kids to use inside the classroom or at home as an extended learning activity.
When I think of S.T.E.A.M. I often think of science experiments. While science plays a huge role, I also like to incorporate other activities in my S.T.E.A.M activities, including art. This packet features simple activities that include graphing, stacking, patterns, and drawing a bear. We used gummy bears for these activities but counting bears work great too!
What’s Included in the Teddy Bear S.T.E.A.M. Packet:
- Using bears in the colors of red, yellow, orange and green, kids graph the number of bears for each color. Simple questions follow up the graphing activity.
- Stack the bears on each other to make a pile or tower. How many bears can you stack?
- Measure a line of bears.
- Bear patterns are shown in rows and stacked. Complete the patterns by filling in the blank.
- Draw a picture of a teddy bear using your favorite color.
What I love about all the activities in this printable pack is that they’re simple enough for kids to complete without one-on-one assistance in most cases, and they’re creative. Plus, if you’re using gummy bears, a few to eat make a fun reward for finishing the packet!
