I always find that teaching with themes makes my students so much more engaged in their learning. I try and incorporate themes into most of my literacy and math centers. This St. Patrick’s Day Count and Clip Cards will be the perfect way to get your students excited about learning this March. They will be having so much fun, that they will forget they are actually working.
St. Patrick’s Day Count and Clip Cards comes with an entire set of twelve counting cards for students. Each page has four cards. It is recommended that you print this center on cardstock and laminate so that it can be used time and time again.
Getting St. Patrick’s Day Count and Clip Cards Ready
I love low prep centers and this one definitely fits the bill! After printing and laminating, all you need to do is cut the 12 cards out.
If you are going to use these in a center, I recommend placing them in a pencil box, along with some clothespins. Once that is done, your center is completely ready for use. How easy is that!?!
Doing St. Patrick’s Day Count and Clip Cards
Doing St. Patrick’s Day Count and Clip Cards is pretty straight forward. Students will count the pictures on the card and then place their clothespin on the corresponding number.
If you do not want your students using clothespins, no problem! Simply have them place a button or pompom on the corresponding number.
If you want to give your students more of a challenge, have them write out the addition sentence for each counting card.
You can have your students complete these count and clip cards several different ways. Students can use these as morning work or they can be used by students that finish their work early. All they will need to do is grab their pencil box and find a place to sit and quietly work. Another way students can complete this printable is during math centers. Students can work together in small groups to complete all of the counting cards.
