What is a Vision Board?
A vision board is a collection of words, symbols, and pictures to motivate and inspire YOU. It’s a tool to create visions or goals for the direction of a new year. A vision board should make you feel positive and remind you of who you want to be. Vision boards are a great New Years activity, back to school activity, or any time of the year activity.

Creating Vision Boards
Vision boards are easy to prepare and create with your students. Simply Kinder has a kid friendly vision board option to make this activity come to life in your classroom.
- Students will need a vision board base template. There are several options, and they are editable. Change the year, wording, or leave blank. Template choices include an option for students to draw themselves and another includes a simple bubble. Both templates allow plenty of space for students to embellish their vision board.
- Print several sets of the pictures, words, and symbols for students to use when creating their vision boards. Students will only use a handful so there are plenty to go around! Discuss the pictures with students before handing them out so students have an idea of what they want to include.
- Students choose items for their vision boards and glue them on their template. Have students color their items for added creativity.
- Share vision boards as a class.
- Hang vision boards on a bulletin display to inspire others and to keep students motivated.
