Candy Pumpkin Tower
We have several great Halloween STEM activity ideas! Check them all out here. Candy pumpkin towers are perfect for small groups, centers, or a mini competition in class! You can do them all fall or just for Halloween. You won’t believe how frighteningly easy it is to make these! The hard part will be getting the students to build the tower before eating their building materials haha.
All You Need:
- Candy Pumpkins (Candy Corn or Jelly kind both work)
- Excited students!
That’s it! Only a few simple things and you’re ready for a great Halloween STEM activity!
Turn those little engineer brains on while they are building their towers by adding in some challenges. Don’t forget to record all the answers. It’s a great opportunity to have a graphing lesson as well.
- Who can build the tallest tower?
- Which is the most unique shape?
- How long do you think it will take?
- Make a prediction for how many pumpkins and how many toothpicks it will take.
