Finally, we’re starting to see the signs of spring. It was a brutally cold winter. I don’t know about you, but I’ve been longing for warmer temperatures, budding trees, and green shoots.

I’ve found that most children love spring. The warmer temperatures and longer days entice kids outside. Spring brings tadpoles, dandelions, and mud puddles to enjoy. What’s not to love?

Why not take advantage of your student’s enthusiasm and bring a little spring joy indoors?  To help you we collected our favorite spring activities. We’ve got spring science, math /literacy worksheets, and other spring resources. All these activities will engage your students and make your lessons fun.

One of the obvious themes in spring is growth and new life. These lend themselves wonderfully to science activities. Planting and various life cycles are obvious choices for this time of year. We have plenty of those, but we’ve also got a special activity with Easter Peeps candy.

The first page encourages creative writing. Students draw a picture about spring and then write a few sentences. This provides opportunities for students to think about spring. Then put their thoughts into a picture and then write about it.

The second worksheets is a fun spring writing activity. It is an easy way to get your students thinking about a new season. They describe some of their observation about spring and list some of their spring wishes. This worksheet is a great activity for individual or class work.
